Château Mille Roses Haut-Médoc 2019 — 89/100
Jane Anson : Good stuff from Sophie and David Faure, this has excellent tension in its black fruit expression, plenty of spice and concentrated cassis notes, with an earthy edge that makes it seem unfussy while still delivering personality. One to look out for. Christophe Coupez consultant.

Juicy and pleasurable, with bell pepper and cut-grass notes alongside the cassis and spice.
Jane Anson — 88/100 : Sophie and David Faure run this pretty 6ha Margaux property, reborn under this name in 1999 and certified organic since 2013 with Ecocert. They also have 15ha in Haut-Médoc (bottled under the same name), and Christophe Coupez is their oenologist. Expect bright, tight tannins alongside sappy black fruit that flirts with austerity but opens up in the glass with an authenticity to it. It doesn't feel overly polished and the tannins are a little rustic, but they have an elasticity to them that makes this enjoyable, with good potential for medium term drinking.

Château Mille Roses Haut-Médoc 2002 — ★★★
Only just created, this domaine has produced a wine which emphasises fruit and elegance, with very fine, dusty tannins, which owe as much to hot climates as to Bordeaux.
