Château Mille Roses Haut Médoc 2018 : 16,5/20
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot.
Barrel sample.
Dark crimson. Ripe fruit dominates the nose. Polished, satiny nose. An undertow of some vegetable – almost artichoke! By which I don't mean green and unripe, just some distinguishing mark. Very refreshing and interesting. Could be GV.Drink 2024-2032
Ch Mille Roses Margaux 2016 : 16/20
Lightly sweet on the nose. Just a little stewed and rhubarby.
Flattering for early drinking.Drink 2022-2028
Château Mille Roses Haut-Médoc 2016 : 15,5/20
Blackish crimson. Great depth of colour. Light nose that reminds me a little of gherkin water. Sweet palate entry but it’s all a bit devoid of flavour on the palate. Unappetising, sour finish. Drink 2020-2024
Château Mille Roses Margaux 2015 : 16,5+/20
Dark crimson. Concentrated and rather opulent on the nose. Lots of energy. Tastes as though there is quite a bit of Merlot as well as Cabernet in here. Marked acidity on the finish. Very competent. Quite a bit of tannin, a little drying at present, on the end.
Château Mille Roses Haut Médoc 2015 : 15/20
Healthy crimson. Something a little dank on the nose? Wood? Very attractive ripe fruit but nothing very subtle. Just a little raw on the finish. Brawny.
Château Mille Roses Margaux 2010 : 16,5/20
Some of this property is Haut Medoc. Very seductive and Margaux lovely satin texture. Real delicacy. Maybe quite forward but sheer pleasure !
Château Mille Roses Haut Médoc 2010 : 16/20
A member of the Biturica group. Part of the vineyard may be sold as a Margaux. Deep crimson. Pure cabernet aromas, perhaps not as luscious as a classed growth but very honest. Lovely sweet plushness on the palate though. Thoroughly lip smacking but just a tiny bit drying on the finish. Converting to organic.
Château Mille Roses Haut Médoc 2008 : 16,5+/20
Restrained but already quite complex on the nose: black fruit with some spice and mocha a slight meaty edge. Very armonious: fine, smooth tannins, just the right depth of fruit into the mid palate, finishing long and fresh. A lovely mouthful.
